Document & Graphics Printer/Consultant
Are you a Graphic Artist who loves editing and production work rather than suffering the rejection and stress of having your creative design torn apart by a client? Fast-paced reprographics shop /copy center seeks energetic individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and background in copying and/or quick printing. You will produce complex customer orders by applying thorough knowledge of document reproduction techniques to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of production. You will work primarily in color reproduction, with both laser and inkjet technology, in small and large format, on the latest high-tech equipment. Previous high-volume document reproduction experience and graphic design / document creation experience required. This is not a design position, but there is much opportunity for creative expression.
In addition, candidates must be able to manage tasks in a changing, multi-product work environment with a focus on exceptional customer service. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to communicate proficiently over the telephone. Must be able to collaborate with peer group, seek innovative solutions, and handle quick turnaround and rapidly changing deadlines.
Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities include:
-Assist customer in placing orders by obtaining job specifications and preparing complete and accurate work order forms
-Process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
-Prepare digital files to download to large format color digital devices
-Operate and maintain large format and small format color digital devices to generate oversized prints
-Perform quality control checks on each job produced
-Gather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery
-Complete paperwork for the billing process
Required Skills:
Knowledge and understanding of all major color graphics software programs
Understand the color duplicating and digital processes
Experience in graphic application files and printing solutions
Friendly personality and good attitude. Commitment to provide a high level of customer service
Communicate well, both oral and written. Excellent organizational skills. Detail-oriented
Proficient with Microsoft Office & Adobe applications
Flexibility to work overtime on occasion
Required Experience
1-2 years experience in the graphics field using graphic applications, RIP software, and printing solutions
1-2 years of direct color services and design such as signage, posters, projects, etc
Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in color duplicating and digital processes
